Pottery & Pints Kiln Hire

If you are working with clay but don't have the space (or the budget) for your own kiln then you can hire our studio kiln for a full load. Due to the precarious nature of handmade ceramics, we are unable to mix customer pieces with our own.

The kiln is a Potterycrafts Eco Comet 60 Ltr
Firing Capacity: 60 litres (2.1 cu/ft).
Maximum Temperature: 1200°C (Cone 5.5)
Maximum Application Temperature:1180°c for long term and continuous use.
Chamber Dimensions: 400mm wide x 446mm deep

Firing costs (always a full load due to the precarious nature of handmade ceramics)

Bisque: £45 (Earthenware) £50(Stoneware)

Glaze firing : £55

PLEASE ALLOW 10 WORKING DAYS FOR PIECES TO BE FIRED AND COOLED.

An additional technicians loading fee of £10 will apply to all orders.

Please note: All customers will be required to sign a firing agreement before leaving your work. Whilst every care is taken in firing your work, please remember that handmade ceramics can be subject to cracking during firing. Pottery and Pints Studio cannot accept any responsibility for any damage to your work resulting from firing.

Payment can be made via BACS, Paypal or Payment Link. Payment must be made before pieces are taken away from the studio.

If your work causes damage to the kiln (shelf, elements, ceramic bricks, thermocouple etc.) you will be liable for repair costs.
